Desks For Home Office– Which One Is Best?

There are a ton of desks for home office to choose from. But there are two big things you need to decide before you buy a desk for your office and those two big things are the size and use of the space.

For most people they will be converting a bedroom into their home office. What I would highly recommend is that you take the measurements of the space first. Once you have the measurements you can then decide on which type of desk and what size.

Once you have the dimensions I would then look at the different sizes that are available. Once you have found a few desks that you like print out or write down their dimensions.

From here grab some books or magazines you have lying around. Measure out the dimensions of the desk and mark the dimensions with the books. This will give you an idea of how much room the desk will take up in that space.

Once you have an idea of how much space your new computer desk takes up you can then measure out a larger desk or smaller one.

You also need to take into consideration whether you will have other furniture in the room. Filing cabinets, copiers, plants, book shelves, chairs, couches etc. will all take up additional space.

It is much easier if you map or plan out the room to take advantage of the space it provides as well as what you will need to make your home office as productive as possible.

Buying the right desk for a home office makes all the difference in how you will use the space. I personally love the L shaped desk. They fit easily into the corner of any room and do not take up much space at all and they give me ample room to spread out and work.

The U shaped desk is also nice as it gives you three different areas on which to work. Or gather paper work as mine does. Ha ha ha. The problem with the U shaped desks is that they will take up considerably more room. So you need to make the decision if more space to work on is worth losing more space for other items.

Finally, if space is at a premium in your new office I would highly recommend a desk that has a hutch as on option. Having a hutch will provide more storage space and they look really nice too.

Remember when it comes to desk for home office you are much better off planning ahead my mapping out your space then going off willy nilly and buying a desk because it looks pretty.
